Microsoft owns Pando Networks, famous for the malware/botnet Pando Media Booster. Yea I agree on that, but it's hard to create a community when a group of people just do one strike, hardly talk and then leave cuz it feels like the whole system they got going is against itself. The best way to describe Destiny is as an online RPG-shooter, because that's literally exactly what it is. Which is why Destiny has never been an MMO. Yes, there is a personal side to MMOs as well, but the thing that differentiates them from other games is that you're taking part of a ever-consisting dynamic world that creates a communal experience unlike anything else. It's about organizing, managing or taking part in large events and organizations. It's about running into the same people enough times to the point that you learn their names, hear rumors about them, get to know them or even idolize or despise them. It's about people being able to stake a claim and having influence on other peoples experience. It's about large groups of people interacting in many different ways. As far as I know MMO is about playing with a group of players to do quests/raid so you type into chat "LFG for x" or as WoW does so excellently you just que up for the dungeon/raid and handle it from there.
